You can also point to an installation on a mounted Windows drive. Had Origin tech support try and resolve, but issue is ongoing. The fact that nvidia failed at fermi drivers at launch means nothing since the tests were done now. It definitely has something to do with graphic changes they made in 6.x and compatability with NVIDIA video cards (and/or DX11).I made a post about this shortly after the patch here:http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/14881218631#1I weblink

Maybe im just crazy for thinking its pointless to mention benchmarks that have no actual basis on how the game actually plays.
just like the 5830. Not sure if it's related.Regarding the crash issue, I've had that problem with this Nvidia card and WoW since Cata. I am also running an older version of GeForce Experiance so that it plays. Latest drivers. since the source engine is one of the must played engines! Weird Crashing type issue video card driver related.
Purchased new Origin computer with Nvidia driver 340.52 (08/2014).
Add this to your startup script: export MESA_GL_VERSION_OVERRIDE=3.3COMPAT Resolution and colour depth You can change the following two lines to set the default WoW resolution. I do not use GeForce Experience to optimize as its idea of optimization stinks for me. Overall, it appears the 6790 doesn't have the same issues as the 5830 oriignally had (Or still do).So, it's a fail although it's a fail mainly due to it's release date. Who cares if your fps is 120 or 135 when looking idle at a wall?
It can be enabled through driconf or by installing libtxc_dxtn. bbs AMD CPU users As WoW significant benefits from L3-Cache you should check if your Processor/Bios has a L3-allocation Option available, BSP-Only allocation is what worked for me pretty well. I don't know why this seems to happen with some Nvidia driver updates, but it does seem to be an ongoing issue. weblink Ill use another that someone else mentioned flight paths.

Sometimes moving to a slightly older driver avoids the problem and gives the GPU maker time to fix some issues with their drivers.
