I am running XP Home SP2.1.When I put the card in the pci express slot windows xp detects the card and says:a) Found PCI to PCI bridgeb) Found standard PCI to The USB port on the same side as the ExpressCard slot, though it could power a mouse, would not provide enough voltage to power an external hard drive. After several weeks with SIIG tech support I'm told it is a known issue that card won't work with Dell laptops. I have bought another : an excys EX-6440 and It works fine now ! i have a 400 800 and 400 expresscard firewire on my mcbk pro and it still sucks.
